Indian shooters Manish Narwal and Singhraj Adhana wins gold and silver medal in the P4 – Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 final at Shooting Range on Saturday.
The 19-year-old Manish created the Paralympic record as he added 218.2 points to clinch the gold while Singhraj Adhana won his second medal of the Tokyo Paralympics with 216.7 points.
The Russian Paralympics Committee (RPC) Sergey Malyshev won the bronze medal with 196.8 points.
Manish Narwal won India’s third gold medal of these Paralympic Games after Avani Lekhara in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 event and Sumit Antil in the men’s javelin throw F64 category.
Meanwhile, Singhraj Adhana becomes the second Indian Paralympic player after Avani Lekhara to win multiple medals at these Games.
India has now won three golds, seven silvers and five bronze medals at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics Games. This is India’s best performance at a single edition of the Paralympic Games.
Another Indian Paralympic player, Krishna Nagar reached into the final after defeating Great Britain’s Krysten Coombs by 2-0 in the Men’s Singles SH6- semi-final match on Saturday, assuring India of at least a silver medal.
