Bollywood actor Swara Bahskar who is more known as a political activist often at loggerhead with BJP, has married Fahad Ahmad.
She announced this on her twitter handle that she has married in the Court under the provisions of Special Marriage Act, a legislation that allows persons of different religions marry each other without converting to other faith after publication of public notices.
She wrote:
So blessed to be supported and cheered by the love of family and friends like family! Wore my mother’s sari & her jewellery. Made Fahad Zirar Ahmad wear colour and we registered under the Special Marriage Act.
Fahad Ahmad is State President at Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha a Youth Wing of Samajwadi Party and is an alumnus of Aligarh University and Tata Institute of Social Work (TISS).
Swara Bhaskar is the daughter of JNU Professor Ira Bhaskar and Naval Officer C. Uday Bhaskar.
