Sharad Yadav, a renowned third front politician last affiliated to Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD). passed away this morning. He was elected to Lok Sabha seven times and to the upper house Rajya Sabha thrice.
The Prime Minister remembered him as one who was greatly inspired by Dr. Lohia’s ideals.

During VP Singh’s tenure as the PM, Sharad Yadav was at the helm of affairs along with Ram Vilas Paswan. He was originally from MP but all his political career was in the Bihar.
